Çlen Soöza pisateley Azerbaydjana Nizami Taqisoy pre-
podnёs poçitateləm pogzii dva sbornika stixotvoreniy i pogm: 
«Budeşğ iskatğ menə» (Baku, «Səda», 2000), «Mojet mir 
zabludilsə» (Baku, «Azerneşr», 2004) i povestğ «Skazka o Natike i 
çёrnoy zurne, ili oboim gleqiə» (Baku, 2008).

Qiey Paçxataşvili na russkiy əzık.

Professor Nizami Taqisoy –postoənnıy uçastnik provodimıx v

simpoziumov. 
Professor Nizami Taqisoy bolğşe dvux desətiletiy rabotaet 
nad sborom folğklornıx obrazüov, gtnoqenezom, gpiçeskim 
mışleniem törkskix narodov, sostavleniem uçebnika po 
sovremennoy literature, izdanie kotoroqo nameçaetsə mnoqo-

V nastoəhee vremə professor Nizami Taqisoy zanimaetsə 
nauçno-pedaqoqiçeskoy deətelğnostğö na kafedre 
«Azerbaydjanskoy literaturı» v Bakinskom slavənskom universitete 
i periodiçeski vıstupaet v peçati so statğəmi, posvəhennımi

Turkologist, specialist in folklore, literary critic, theorist  of 
translation, poet-critic, doctor of philology, professor Nizami 
Taghisoy  (Nizami Taghi Mammadov)  he was born in Upper 
Shilyan village of Ujar region of Azerbaijan Republic on May 24, 
1950. He fmished secondary education in his native region in 1967. 
He served in armed forces during 1968-1970. 
After military service he was enrolled in the faculty of 
"Russian language and literature" of Azerbaijan Pedagogical Ins-
titute of Russian language and Literature named after M.F.Akhun-
dov, graduated from the same faculty with honours diploma in 
1975. He had worked as the teacher of Russian language and 
literature in secondary school in Ujar according to appointment. 
During school years his little poems and articles were published in 
wall newspapers, then in regional and republican newspapers. 
Beside his work in village school, he had been enrolled in 
post-graduate courses of the institute where he studied by 
competitive examinations. He was engaged in problems of literary 
articles begirıning from 1980, in 1986 he was conferred on aca-
demic degree by defending thesis of candidate of philology in 
subject "Russian translations and personification of Samad Vurgun's 
plays". 
He works in Baku Slavic University (former Azerbaijan 
Pedagogical Institute of Russian language and Literature named af-
ter M.F.Akhundov) since 1984. He passed diffıcult but honourable 
academic-pedagogical way in the institute where he studied from 
laboratory assistant to professor. 
He delivers lectures in Russian and Azerbaijani sections from 
subjects as "Russian literature of XX century", "Literature of 
Turkish nations", "Azerbaijan literature", "Theory of translation", 
supervised and continues to supervise course papers, theses, master 
and Candidate's dissertation since the above-mentioned period.

He had worked on DPhil in subject "Russian poetry of XX 
century in Azerbaijan translations", was conferred on Doctor of 
philology by defending it successfully in 1992. 
In 1994 he was conferred on professor diploma by the deci-
sion of Supreme Attestation Board under the President of Azerbai-
jan Republic and was elected the professor of Baku Slavic Univer-
sity. 
In 1995-1997 he had worked as the chief of department 
"Azerbaijani language and literature" of Baku Maidens' University 
(former Baku Higher Pedagogical Maidens' Seminary) and of de-
partment "Russian language and literature" (first Azerbaijani lan-
guage and literature) of Azerbaijan International University since 
1998. 
Nizami Taghisoy is one of the scientists who are engaged in 
scientific activity next to pedagogical work. About 300 of his arti-
cles of different subject had been presented in various conferences, 
symposiums and scientific meetings, journals and newspapers. 
In scientific priorities of Professor Nizami Taghisoy direc-
tions like translation theory, literary articles, reconstructions, eth-
nogenesis, ethnology, ethnography, epic mentality, traditions, folk-
lore, classical and contemporary literature of Turkish nations, ur-
gent problems of literary criticism, modern literary process and etc. 
are used successfully. His monographs and articles differ in its con-
troversy and individual way of thinking. 
Professor Nizami Taghisoy is the author of many articles and 
books related to Turkish nations as Gagauz, Kazakh, Kara-Kalpak, 
Karachai, Kirghiz, Kibris turks, Malkar, Uzbek, Khazar etc. text-
books, educational supplies, monographs, folk-lore ethnographic 
researches which he wrote during different years are approved by 
readers and experts. The following monographs and books by the 
outstanding researcher are highly appreciated by critics, turkolo-
gists: "Russian poetry of XX century in Azerbaijan translations" 
(Baku, 1992, 134 pages- in Russian); "Kazakh literature" (Baku, 
1993 - 70 p. - in Russian); "National peculiar of origin and transla-
