Alarms
The Model 3100 Series incubator alarm system is shown in the table
below.  When an alarm is active, the message appears in the LED message
center. Pressing Silence disables the audible alarm for the ringback period.
However, the visual alarm continues until the incubator returns to a
normal condition. The alarms are momentary alarms only. When an alarm
condition occurs and then returns to normal, the incubator automatically
clears the alarm condition and the message center.

Alarms
When multiple alarm conditions occur, active messages are displayed in
the message center one at a time, updating at 5 second intervals. Pressing
Silence during multiple alarms causes all active alarms to be silenced and to
ring back in 15 minutes.
The temperature alarms are disabled when the Temp setpoint is 10°C. The
CO
2
alarms are disabled when the CO
2
setpoint is 0.0%. The  O
2
alarms
are disabled when the O
2
setpoint is 21.0%.
When the inner door is opened on a Model 3100 Series incubator, heat
and CO
2
injection are disabled. The door must be securely latched for heat
and CO
2
injection to resume after a door opening. If the door is latched,
yet the display still shows Door Open, the door switch could be faulty.
Call Technical Services.
The microprocessor in the incubator continually scans all available sensors,
except the O
2
(see Section 4), to ensure proper operation. Should an error
be detected, the incubator sounds an alarm and displays the appropriate
message. If such an alarm occurs, contact your local distributor or the
Technical Services department at  740-373-4763 or 1-888-213-1790 (USA
and Canada) or fax 740-373-4189.
On units equipped with the O
2
system, the microprocessor checks the
remaining life of the O
2
sensor whenever O
2
calibration @ 20.7% is
performed. If the O
2
sensor declines to a certain level, REPL O2 SNSR
appears in the display and the visual alarm flashes. This alarm alerts the
user to replace the O
2
sensor at the earliest convenience (Section 5). The
unit will continue to function for some length of time.
If the O
2
sensor declines to the point that control cannot be accurately
performed, an O
2
SNSR ERR alarm will sound and control is disabled.
On units equipped with an IR CO
2
control system, calibration is
performed automatically using an Auto Zero system. If this system cannot
properly calibrate the sensor, the REPL IR SNSR alarm sounds. The unit
will continue to function for some length of time.
