It depends on the nature of the electricity supply and its overvoltage protection means. For example, in CAT II which is the category used for instruments in installations supplied from a supply comparable to public mains such as hospital and research laboratories and most industrial laboratories, the expected transient overvoltage is 2500V for a 230V supply and 1500V for a 120V supply. 2 Pollution Degree describes the amount of conductive pollution present in the operating environment. This allows shipping time so th e warranty will go into effect at approximately the same time your equipment is delivered. The warranty protection extends to any subsequent owner duri ng the first year war- ranty period. During the first year , component parts proven to be non-conforming in materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced at Thermo's expense, including labor . In addition, after the initial warranty period of one year , the CO2 sensor (IR) will be warranted for a secon d year , parts only . The CO2 sensor (T/C) will be warranted for four additional years for a total of five years, parts only . The water jacket chamber has a unit production lifetime war- ranty , parts only , against rust-through and leaks. Unit production life is defined as the period of time the current chamber de sign is in production, plus seven years. If corrosive chemicals are identified in the chamber , the warranty will be voided. Installation and calibration is not covered by this warranty agreement. The T echnical Services Department must be contacted for warranty determination and direction prior to performance of any repairs. Expendable items, glass, filters and gaskets are excluded from this warranty . Replacement or repair of components parts or equipment under this warranty shall not extend the warranty to either the equipmen t or to the component part beyond the original warranty period. The T echnical Services Department must give prior approval for return of any componen ts or equipment. At Thermo's option, all non-conforming parts must be returned to Thermo postage paid and replacement parts are shipped FOB destina tion. Be sure black locking sleeve is pulled back. 2. Line up pins and push connector onto plug. You will feel a “snap.” Do not twist. 3. Push locking sleeve forward on connector until it is flush with the front of the connector. 4. If sleeve is difficult to slide on a new connector, “exercise” it a few times. Do not use tools. With TURCK’s patented Locking Sleeve pulled back, any picofast sensor slides on without any difficulty. After sensor is connected, push Locking Sleeve for- ward to create a watertight connection. It’s a snap! 1. Do not twist. 2. Pull locking sleeve back to “unlocked” position. 3. Pull connector straight off. 4. Leave locking sleeve in unlocked position.
