Content


In this unit, students will learn about Education and how it helps to choose different career. Students will also learn about the impact of technology in education. Students will be able to understand the importance of special education in schools. This unit will also allow students to gain knowledge of traditional and contemporary food and its popularity. Students will discuss about poverty and watch films related to poverty and class.

Education and Aspirations Value: 0.5


This half unit (0.5) combines with Community Engagement (0.5) to equate to one standard unit – these should be delivered together as a semester unit. Students are expected to study the accredited semester 1.0 unit unless enrolled in a 0.5 unit due to late entry or early exit in a semester.

Specific Unit Goals


This unit should enable students to:

explain the school education system in India with comparison to that of Australia;

critically analyse written texts about future career and lifestyle choices;

create a list of available educational institutions, and discuss their merit and demerit ;

display knowledge of dominant education in India and compared that to its counterpart in neighbouring countries; and

apply skills to latest information technology for assessment outcomes s and research purposes.
