This group gratefully acknowledges the work of previous developers
The previous course was found to be satisfactory and catered for the needs of different students. Successful aspects from the course were adapted in order to teach one topic across multi-level classes. Amendments and additions were required as a result of the new Languages Course Framework 2014, the development of the National Curriculum for Languages (F-10) and other more global changes.
This new course takes into account the recent curriculum and assessment developments both nationally and locally.
The goals of the previous course were achieved.
The content was appropriate but needed some updating. This course addressed the needs of all students. The new course will also cater for the needs of all students and will strive to prepare them adequately for further tertiary studies.
The teaching strategies have been quite successful and varied. However, due to the progression of technology and hence the change in society, modification to teaching has been necessary.
The assessment program was appropriate and is in line with the task types stipulated in the new framework.
The course was relevant for the time that it was written but aspects needed to be upgraded and expanded or improved.
The resources were updated in order to cater for the changes made to the course document.
