senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, a member of the advisory
board for the Precise Time and Time Interval Conference, and a board member of the Society of
Educators and Scholars. He and his wife Kathy live in Irvine and Rancho Mirage, California.
They have one daughter and two granddaughters. He enjoys playing with his granddaughters,
gardening projects, traveling, and writing.
