The bacics, objects and means of civil defense

Requirements for the design and construction of industrial buildings:

• 
  high-strength, lightweight, and fire-resistant materials should be used in construction;
  
• 
  very critical industrial buildings should be built at great depth and at low height, rectangular in shape;
  
• 
  the possibility of sealing the production buildings for protection against chemical and radioactive poisoning should be taken into account;
  
• 
  lightweight, non-combustible or hardly combustible structures should be used inside the building;
  
• 
  large buildings should be divided into sections with fire walls (firewalls);
  
• 
  The possibility of shower rooms for sanitary cleaning should be taken into account.
  

Requirements for the gas supply system:

• 
  Gas supply to cities and facilities must be through two independent gas pipelines running through two gas distribution stations;
  
• 
  gas distribution stations should be located in the suburban area (weak spill zone is possible), on different sides;
  
• 
  pumping and compressor stations of main oil and gas pipelines should be located outside the boundaries of the potential spill zone;
  
• 
  gas pipelines must be bypassed and underground in the categories of cities and facilities;
  
• 
  disconnecting devices shall be applied to the lines;
  
• 
  gas pipelines must have remotely connectable shut-off valves and gas valves.
  

Requirements for the heating system:

• 
  heat pipelines must be underground (in special ducts);
  
• 
  heating pipelines must be circular;
  
• 
  connection and control valves (valves, fittings, valves, etc.) must be installed in the heating pipelines;
  
• 
  shut-off and control valves shall be placed in inspection wells in places where avalanches may occur when buildings and structures collapse, and fill them with water;
  
• 
  heat pipelines shall have a thermal protection layer;
  
• 
  the boiler room of the household facility shall be located in a separate building.
  
• 
  The roof and partitions of the boiler room must be of lightweight material.
