3. STAGES OF THE DISEASE
Most cancers have four stages. The specific stage is determined by a few different factors, including the tumor’s size and location:

  • Stage I: The cancer is localized to a small area and hasn’t spread to lymph nodes or other tissues.

  • Stage II: The cancer has grown, but it hasn’t spread.

  • Stage III: The cancer has grown larger and has possibly spread to lymph nodes or other tissues.

  • Stage IV: The cancer has spread to other organs or areas of your body. This stage is also referred to as metastatic or advanced cancer.

Though stages one through four are the most common, there’s also a Stage 0. This earliest phase describes cancer that’s still localized to the area in which it started. Cancers that are still in Stage 0 are usually easily treatable and are considered pre-cancerous by most healthcare providers.
4. DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENTS
There is no single test that can accurately diagnose cancer. The complete evaluation of a patient usually requires a thorough history and physical examination along with diagnostic testing. Many tests are needed to determine whether a person has cancer, or if another condition (such as an infection) is mimicking the symptoms of cancer.
Effective diagnostic testing is used to confirm or eliminate the presence of disease, monitor the disease process, and to plan for and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment. In some cases, it is necessary to repeat testing when a person's condition has changed, if a sample collected was not of good quality, or an abnormal test result needs to be confirmed.
Diagnostic procedures for cancer may include imaging, laboratory tests (including tests for tumor markers), tumor biopsy, endoscopic examination, surgery, or genetic testing.
Cancer diagnosis methods:

  • Lab tests

  • Diagnostic imaging

  • Endoscopic exams

  • Genetic tests

  • Tumor biopsies

The most important fact about cancer is the untreatable 4th stage.
From my own research, I have some infos about patient who suffered from colorectal cancer. For stage 4 colon cancer that is widespread, chemotherapy and/or targeted therapies are the main treatments. If the cancer is causing specific symptoms or pressing on other organs, the care team may suggest surgery to treat that specific area and reduce symptoms. Rectal cancer treatment for stage 4 cancer follows a similar pattern. For cancer that has only spread to a few, distinct areas in the liver or lungs, different combinations of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery may be used to try to shrink and remove the cancer. After surgery, it’s likely that the patient will have chemotherapy and/or radiation as adjuvant treatment.
During 1,5 years he had been under the radical treatment and received pain relievers. At first, he had not known about the disease and gone wrong prescriptions. It means the symptoms were hidden. For some times, they were cured of herbal medicines given by healers. It is known that our grandfather Ibn Sina emphasized that snake soup has the property of preventing any tumor. If the disease is in the first stage, there is a high possibility of this effect.
In conclusion, When the disease is on 1-2 stage, it is possible to cure, 3- stage is somehow challenging but 4-stage is not sure. When we should live in peace and with healthy diets and lifestyle, none of them can come to us.
