  1. SpeechPeek

SpeechPeek is not a EdTech tool but an online portal that allows ESL/EFL teachers to create interactive speaking and listening exercises for students to complete and submit remotely. It is a very interesting way for students to improve their speaking of the language. After the teacher has created their task or speaking homework, students are able to log in, find their task or homework and record their voices to complete the speaking exercises. When the homework is completed, the teacher can give them a grade or an immediate feedback or comment on how they have done it. As we can see, this is a very useful online portal and an extremely effective way to assess your students' pronunciation skills outside of the classroom. Teachers have tried to use tape recorders in the past, but many students didn't have one, or if they had one, they would lose the tapes. Speechpeek.com makes tape recorders unnecessary and allows teachers to correct and improve their students' pronunciation outside of the classroom.
