  1. Grammar Jammers

The Grammar Jammers Primary edition is a useful app to teach or assess the following parts of speech in the English language: adjectives, contractions, nouns, pronouns, verbs. Also, it helps us with the pronunciation and the construction of sentences. The app is consisted of many activities and each activity starts with a cute animated song and rhyme with lots of examples throughout. A quiz is unlocked at the end of each song with only 3 questions, which will quickly determine if the student understands the mini lesson. This app can be used with an independent reader or with a student that needs assistance with reading and directions. It is simple, interesting and a very helpful app. Also, it is important to know that is free to download and it helps with learning the basics of the English grammar.
Age: 5 – 10 years old, (helpful for children with speech delay, language delay, high functioning autism and learning disabled verbal students)

  1. HapYak

HapYak is an interesting interactive video platform that transforms video from passive information into an interactive experience. This platform is helpful for ELT because it lets you annotate any YouTube or Vimeo video with text (including URL addresses) or freestyle drawing. It's easy to use and free (for up to 20 videos) and helps a teacher enforce blended learning in their teaching. It's also useful for those dreaming of a flipped classroom although we might come across a difficulty because the platform doesn’t allow all the tools in some countries. Except from interactive videos, you can create a video quiz as well which could be an interesting way to repeat some material.
