Kalka Shimla Railway, one of the very few heritage Railways in the world, as recognized by UNESCO, offers special trains and coaches besides the regular train service between Kalka & Shimla. Shivalik Deluxe

Connecting Service to Howrah-Kalka Mail. Fare Rs. 280/- inclusive of catering on-board. Only one halt at Barog. Wall to wall carpeting. Wider glass windows for better view.  Delux Rail Motor Car

Shivalik Palace Tourist Coach (RA-4)

Fare per coach for a party of six inclusive of meals enroute Rs. 4,970/- from Kalka to Shimla Rs. 3,495/- from Shimla to Kalka Rs. 8,465 both ways (including free one night stay at Shimla). Provided with temperature cum time indicator and altimeter. For travelling in style-fully furnished with dinning table, chairs and a well-equipped on-board kitchen. Retiring Rooms:

All the major stations enroute Kalka-Shimla Railway have accommodation facility for tourists, popularly known as Retiring Rooms & dormitories which can be booked on ‘first come first serve basis’ on payment of prescribed charges. Only those holding a valid ticket for and inward/outward journey are eligible to apply for the use of the Retiring Rooms and Dormitory Beds. The booking can be directly done with the respective Station Masters. The details of the accommodation are as under:
