Dosiahnuté výsledky: Zabezpečená kontinuálna registrácia kozmického žiarenia na Lomnickom štíte s dátami v reálnom čase (http://neutronmonitor.ta3.sk) dostupnými na stránkach NMDB a ESA uvedených v reporte za rok 2010. Kontinuálne merania sú v reálnom čase využívané pre určenie galaktickej zložky kozmického žiarenia v reálnom čase pre aviáciu v projekte NAIRAS podporovanom NASA ( http://spacewx.com, ďaľej Space Weather Now a Galactic). Výsledky využité v pozvaných prednáškach [1,2] a v prácach, ktoré sú monitorované v zozname publikácií COST ES 0803 http://www.costes0803.noa.gr/workgroups/wg1/books.pdf, http://www.costes0803.noa.gr/workgroups/wg1/journals.pdf [3-5]. Dosiahnuté výsledky: M. Sedlák sa zúčastnil aktívne kongresu ECIS (European Colloid Interface Science Society) v Berlíne, 5.9.2011 – 9.9.2011, s prednáškou na tému „Self-assembly of thermoresponsive ion containing polymers into stable nanoparticles“ a zároveň sa zúčastnil zasadnutia managment committe akcie COST D43 „Colloid and Interface Chemistry for Nanotechnology“ kde sa zároveň pracovalo na príprave novej akcie COST CM-1101 „Colloidal Aspects of Nanoscience for Innovative Processes and Materials“ ktorá bude nasledovníčkou akcie D43. V priebehu roku 2011 sa realizoval prístupový proces SR k akcii CM-1101 ktorý bol schválený s tým, že M. Sedlák bol schválený ako zástupca SR v managment committee tejto akcie. Na základe prieskumu patentovej prihlášky PP5007-2008 „Polymérne nanočastice na báze homopolyméru poly(etylakrylovej kyseliny) a spôsob ich prípravy“, realizovaného Úradom priemyselného vlastníctva SR sa vykonávali požadované procesné úkony/doplnenia. Experimentálne sa pracovalo na skúmaní mezoškálových štruktúr v ternárnych roztokoch voda/tertbutylalkohol/propylenoxd. V závere roku sa M. Sedlák zúčastnil konferencie „The Sixth Annual Conference on The Physics, Chemistry and Biology of Water 2011“, West Dover, Vermont, USA, 20.10. -23.10., 2011, kde predniesol pozvanú prednášku „Aqueous solutions: unusual features.“ Programy: European Science Foundation (ESF) 9.) The Ginzburg-Landau parameter, calculated from the Fermi velocity and details of the Fermi surface topology estimated by angle-resolved photo-electron spectroscopy (ARPES) and the superconducting gap value obtained by scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS), is an apparent sign of type-I superconductivity in SrPd2Ge2 [1]. In this work, however, we present recent scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy (STM/S) measurements in magnetic fields that indicate that the superconducting order parameter varies across the scanned surface with periodicity approximately matching the Abrikosov lattice of superconducting vortices, proving a type-II superconductivity in SrPd2Ge2 crystal, probably due to a dirty limit. 10.) Európska výskumná sieť GDRE – Združenie pre aplikované magnetovedy GAMAS (European Research Network GDRE - GROUP FOR THE APPLIED MAGNETOSCIENCES GAMAS)
Dosiahnuté výsledky: Výskum v oblasti žíhania magneticky mäkkých zliatin na báze FeNi a FeSi v externom magnetickom poli prispel k novým poznatkom o optimalizácii ich zloženia a termomagnetického spracovania, ktoré môžu byť použité na cielené ovplyvňovanie ich magnetických charakteristík pre potenciálne technické aplikácie. V rámci letnej školy . “GAMAS Summer School, Borgo, Corsica, France, September 5-9, 2011”. bol zorganizovaný vzdelávací kurz o aplikovaných magnetovedách, ktoráho sa zúčastnilo 25 doktorandov a posdoktorandov zo 6 európskych krajín.
