Alfred Gerge Seckington married three times. His first wife was Sarah Ann Edwards, daughter of William Edwards, chapel keeper at Weston. She had four children, two of whom died in infancy. She herself died shortly after the birth of her last child. She was only 26. She died on April 29, 1873.

Both Alfred George Seckington and Bessie Philips signed their names, as did the two witnesses, Thomas Jeffs and Jane Martin.

Thomas Jeffs was the husband of Sarah Ann, the sister of Alfred George Seckington.
