With the support of SAFMAR Foundation at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre starts an exhibition of Moses Nappelbaum "Atelier ".

With the support of CF SAFMAR at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre on April 9, 2014, an exhibition of Moses Nappelbaum "Atelier ", in a parallel program of the Tenth International Photography Month in Moscow" Biennale 2014 ".

The exhibition presents more than 100 portraits created by Moses Nappelbaum in different years. The show does not just reveal the evolution of creativity outstanding photographer, but is a whole encyclopaedia in those pre-revolutionary Russia and the Soviet Union, the first half of the twentieth century. Nappelbaum imprinted on photographic portraits known cultural elite of the twentieth century - scientists, writers, poets, composers and musicians, theatre and film, such as: Anna Akhmatova, Alexander Blok, Alexander Vishnevsky, Sergei Yesenin, Pyotr Kapitsa, Vladimir Lenin, Vsevolod Meyerhold, Boris Pasternak, Sergei Prokofiev, and many others.

Works of Moses Nappelbaum (1869-1958) are impossible to enter into any of the artistic tendencies or trends early and mid-twentieth century. Nappelbaum managed to develop his own artistic style and create an unmistakable style. His approach to photography combines traditional unprecedented and bold composition techniques for creating images that are typical of the avant-garde.
