Final Exam – 40%
The final exam will mostly cover materials and topics from all the lectures that were taught after midterm exam (but may also include some questions taught before). The exam is closed books, so you cannot use your notes or computers in the exam and will include some questions about the topics that we have covered so far. Further details about exam will be communicated.


Student Presentations – 30%
Students will be asked to make presentations (generally, but not always done with Microsoft Power Point) on key economic and microeconomic topics and concepts during the classes. The topics and themes will be appointed to each student by the instructor. Students are encouraged to make several presentations during the course period if time allows.


What makes a perfect presentation?

  The presentation is visually appealing, clearly articulated, effectively presented
  
• 
  The materials presented are relevant to the given topic
  
• 
  The presenter is confident, calm and persuasive
  
• 
  All relevant concepts and basic ideas have be described in detail logically and consistently
  
• 
  Relevant graphs have be shown and explained
  
• 
  Relevant examples have been provided
  
• 
  Seminal works (papers, authors, books) have been cited, if appropriate
  
• 
  Additional reliable materials (other than course books) have been used by the presenter
  
• 
  The presentation can be used as a teaching material for other students
  

Attendance (non-graded)

Attendance refers to the students’ physical presence in class. Students must attend all classes. Students should inform the instructor of unavoidable absence as soon as possible and provide a documented proof of the stated reason for the absence. Work missed may be made up at the discretion of the instructor. According to academic rule, student who misses 25% of classes will receive an administrative failure.
