NATİONAL ANİMAL OF TURKEY
The gray wolf is the national animal of Turkey. In Turkey, gray wolves live mostly in the forests and mountainous areas. Sometimes called timber wolves, gray wolves can weigh up to 98 pounds. They feed on deer, elk, and moose. Wolves travel in family packs that include two mated wolves and their pups.The country’s national animal symbolizes goodness, courage and strength. According to Turkish mythology, a gray wolf rescued an injured human boy and nursed him back to health. When he grew up, he mated with the wolf and produced a line of half-wolf, half-human children. The d

escendants of these children became the first and greatest rulers of Turkey.

he bald eagle has been the national bird of the United States since 1782, when it was placed with outspread wings on the Great Seal of their country. It appears in many government institutions and on official documents, making it the most pictured bird in all of America. The eagle appears on the president’s flag, the mace of the House of Representatives, military insignia, and billions of one-dollar bills.

he National symbols of India depict the country’s image and have been chosen very carefully. The national symbols define the country and its ethnic culture. The national animal of India is chosen to be the Royal Bengal Tiger. In Hindu mythology and the Vedic era, the tiger was a symbol of power. It was often depicted as the animal vehicle of the various forms of Goddess Durga. India is home to 80 percent of tigers in the world. The Royal Bengal Tiger has featured in Indian currency notes as well as postage stamps.
