Introduction
Learning a foreign language gives a chance to work internationally, to learn other countries, often developed ones practice and exchanging experience with them. So, President of Uzbekistan is paying his much attention to education and foreign languages and signing rules and decisions. For instance, one of them is signed in May 19, 2021 “On measures to bring quality to a new level of promotion of foreign language learning activities in the republic of Uzbekistan”. The main purpose from this document is to develop the sphere of education, especially language learning. In this way, almost all educational institutions have mentioned their aims, goals and responsibilities, and doing them one by one [1,23].
Global objective of any educational system is preparation of young generation for adequate participation in all fields of activity of a society. Since independence, great changes have taken place in all areas, which allowed us to study world literature more deeply than ever before.
Learning a foreign language is not an easy thing. It is a long and slow process that takes a lot of time and efforts. Nowadays it is especially important to know foreign languages. Everyone, who knows foreign languages can speak to people from other countries, read foreign writers in the original, which makes your outlook wider. The English language is a wonderful language. It is the language of the great literature.
The actuality of the theme of the emergence of modernism in English literature lies in the fact that modernism was a significant literary movement that emerged in the early 20th century and had a profound impact on literature and culture. It marked a departure from traditional forms of literature and embraced new forms, styles, and techniques. The aim of this course work is to explore the emergence of modernism in English literature, its characteristics, and its impact on literature and culture.
In accordance with main theme, we put following tasks to achieve:
-to explain the modernism and its main features in literature;
-to know Characteristics and Themes of Modernism;
-to investigate the development of Modernism in English literature;
-to analyze Key Modernist Writers and Works.
