and there is usually no need for citizens to ask for reimbursement. Pharmacies settle 

up medicine's costs with the 

social security institutions

Information  and  forms  to  download  on  the  federal  public  services  portal 

Help.gv.at.  The  procedure  does  not  take  more  than  30  minutes. 

Applicants are legally required to sign personally the passport, and a visit 

in  person  to  the  competent  administration  (municipality)  is  therefore 

necessary, where delivery is immediate.
