Chapter Six

The Serpents of Wisdom and their Mystery Religions
The Gnostic doctrine that came to us through the biblical patriarchs was disseminated by the Masters of Wisdom, also known as the Serpents of Wisdom. According to the website gnosis.org;
Gnosis is; “Knowledge of a person’s true nature and original condition, the revelatory and salvific knowledge of who we were, of what we have become, of where we were, of wherein we have been thrown, of whereto we are hastening, of what we are being freed, of what birth really is, and of what rebirth really is. One comes to divine gnosis by Divine Grace combined with sincere and informed human aspiration.
A person’s true nature is divine. All humans are angels imbedded in matter. Their original condition is that they are individual aspects of God. We have become blind to our true estate and are prisoners of fallen angels. It is that imprisonment that we need to be freed from. Our birth into this world is our death to our true nature. Rebirth is to know that we are the sons and daughters of God, not worthless sinners.
From the book The Secret Teachings of All Ages we learn;
P 40 The Mysteries claimed to be the guardians of a transcendental knowledge so profound as to be incomprehensible save to the most exalted intellect and so potent as to be revealed with safety only to those in whom personal ambition was dead and who had consecrated their lives to the unselfish service of humanity. p 41 Hence he who seeks to unveil the secret doctrine of antiquity must search for that doctrine not upon the open pages of books which might fall into the hands of the unworthy but in the place where it was originally concealed. Far-sighted were the initiates of antiquity. They realized that nations come and go, that empires rise and fall, and that the golden ages of art, science, and idealism are succeeded by the dark ages of superstition. With the needs of posterity foremost in mind, the sages of old went to inconceivable extremes to make certain that their knowledge should be preserved.

They engraved it upon the face of mountains and concealed it within the measurements of colossal images, each of which was a geometric marvel. Their knowledge of chemistry and mathematics they hid within mythologies which the ignorant would perpetuate, or in the spans and arches of their temples which time has not entirely obliterated. They wrote in characters that neither the vandalism of men nor the ruthlessness of the elements could completely efface. Today men gaze with awe and reverence upon the mighty Memnon’s standing alone on the sands of Egypt, or upon the strange terraced pyramids of Palenque. Mute testimonies these are of the lost arts and sciences of antiquity; and concealed this wisdom must remain until this race has learned to read the universal language – symbolism. The book to which this is the introduction is dedicated to the proposition that concealed within the emblematic figures, allegories, and rituals of the ancients is a secret doctrine concerning the inner mysteries of life, which doctrine has been preserved in toto among a small band of initiated minds since the beginning of the world. Departing, these illumined philosophers left their formula that others, too, might attain to understanding. But, lest these secret processes fall into uncultured hands and be perverted, the Great Arcanum was always concealed in symbol or allegory; and those who can today discover its lost keys may open with them a treasure house of philosophic, scientific, and religious truths. p 42 The philosophic religious doctrines of the pagans were divided to meet the needs of these two fundamental groups of human intellect – one philosophic, the other incapable of appreciating the deeper mysteries of life. To the discerning few were revealed the esoteric, or spiritual, teachings, while the unqualified many received only the literal, or exoteric, interpretations. In order to make simple the great truths of Nature and the abstract principles of natural law, the vital forces of the universe were personified, becoming the gods and goddesses of the ancient mythologies. While the ignorant multitudes brought their offerings to the altars of Priapus and Pan (deities representing the procreative energies), the wise recognized in these marble statues only symbolic concretions of great abstract truths.

P 43 Much of the ritualism of Freemasonry is based on the trials to which candidates were subjected by the ancient hierophants before the keys of wisdom were entrusted to them. Few realize the extent to which the ancient secret schools influenced contemporary intellects and, through those minds, posterity. Robert Macoy, 33°, in his General History of Freemasonry, pays a magnificent tribute to the part played by the ancient Mysteries in the rearing of the edifice of human culture. He says, in part: “It appears that all the perfection of civilization, and all the advancement made in philosophy, science, and art among the ancients are due to those institutions which, under the veil of mystery, sought to illustrate the sublimest truths of religion, morality, and virtue, and impress them on the hearts of their disciples. ...Their chief object was to teach the doctrine of one God, the resurrection of man to eternal life, the dignity of the human soul, and to lead the people to see the shadow of the deity, in the beauty, magnificence, and splendor of the universe.

With the decline of virtue, which has preceded the destruction of every nation of history, the Mysteries became perverted. Sorcery took the place of the divine magic. Indescribable practices (such as the Bacchanalia) were introduced, and perversion ruled supreme; for no institution can be any better than the members of which it is composed. In despair, the few who were true sought to preserve the secret doctrines from oblivion. In some cases they succeeded, but more often the Arcanum was lost and only the empty shell of the Mysteries remained. p 44 The Mysteries were organized for the purpose of assisting the struggling human creature to reawaken the spiritual powers which, surrounded by the flaming ring of lust and degeneracy, lay asleep within his soul. In other words, man was offered a way by which he could regain his lost estate. p 69

Thomas Taylor sums up their purpose as follows: “The Lesser Mysteries were designed by the ancient theologists, their founders, to signify occultly the condition of the unpurified soul invested with an earthy body, and enveloped in a material and physical nature.” ...The gloom and depression of the Lesser Mysteries represented the agony of the spiritual soul unable to express itself because it has accepted the limitations and illusions of the human environment. The crux of the Eleusinian argument was that man is neither better nor wiser after death than during life. If he does not rise above ignorance during his sojourn here, man goes at death into eternity to wander about forever, making the same mistakes which he made here. If he does not outgrow the desire for material possessions here, he will carry it with him into the invisible world, where, because he can never gratify the desire, he will continue in endless agony.

In the following excerpt from the book Sacred Symbols of Mu, the author gives a basic outline of what the Mystery religions taught;

PP 28-30 Evidently religion was originally taught in stages. First man was taught that there was a Supreme Being, Infinite and All Powerful. That it was the Creator who created all things above and below. That man was created by this Almighty Being and having been created by Him, was his son - that this Almighty was man's Heavenly Father. When man was created the Creator placed within the body of man a spirit or soul which never died but continued on through eternity. When man was created it was ordained that his material body should return to the earth from which it was taken. When this material body died it released the soul which went into the world beyond, there to wait until it was called upon to occupy another material body. Apparently, as soon as his primitive mind could grasp the facts, he was taught that his soul was given a task. This task was for the soul to rule the material body by overcoming material desires. When this was accomplished his soul would be called back to the Great Source and forever afterwards live in perfect joy and happiness.

The author goes on to say that they taught that material life was so short that the soul could not overcome all material desires and so needed to come into many bodies until the task was accomplished and that these reincarnations were the salvation of his soul. They taught that the love of the Heavenly Father was greater than the love of his earthly father therefore he should always approach his Heavenly Father without fear or dread and in perfect confidence and love, knowing that loving hands were being held out to receive him. He was taught that all mankind were his brothers and sisters and should be treated as such in his dealings with him. I will add that during the last several years I have felt on two occasions that I was being tested. One of those tests was to see if I was willing to give up all my material possessions. I was willing to do that, and subsequently was not required to do so. However, someone I know did not pass the test, and had literally everything taken from him.

According to Herbert B. Puryear Ph.D., commenting on Edgar Cayce’s readings; “Salvation is not an external event bestowed upon us, but an internal process of transformation. The atonement, or at-one-ment, is processed into our bodies and our soul’s by the builder and mediator - the Christ within – the mind. We are given the power and the pattern for that transformation, but we must choose the pattern, dwell upon it, and act upon it if the power is to flow through and transform us. We permit or allow His Power to transform us only through dwelling upon loving thoughts and acting in loving ways toward God and fellowman.”

All throughout the more than six year journey of researching and writing this book, I have read repeatedly that Jesus is the pattern for us to follow, and that it was by following this pattern that we are ‘saved’. This is not what we are told in Christian churches. We are told that we are saved by believing in the sacrificial and atoning death of Jesus who came to “save us from our sins.” Unfortunately, Christianity has been corrupted by this belief. The simple truth is that salvation is, as this author just stated, “an internal process of transformation.” We can continue to spread this falsehood, or we can correct it and renew Christianity as Jeshua wants us to do. Jesus is our Savior only when we choose to act like him.

We have briefly heard of the Mysteries being divided into the lesser and greater Mysteries. The lesser were exoteric teachings which were veiled in allegory and myth. The greater or esoteric Mysteries were those concerned with the mysteries of the workings of Nature, the knowledge of which gives powers such as those displayed by Jesus, the gifts of the Spirit. Almost all religions have their sources in the ancient Mystery religions. Almost all, if not all, of the other world religions besides Protestant Christianity, still have their esoteric or mystical side. The esoteric side of Christianity was forcibly removed circa 350 C.E. by the Roman Catholics. Ironically, the Catholics do have an esoteric side today. Since they gathered up and burned the esoteric Christian texts but reserved some for themselves, they have through the years, availed themselves of these texts and developed a mystical side to their version of Christianity. Mainstream Protestant Christianity is suffering greatly from the lack of the mystical side of their religion. They are literally almost devoid of the Spirit and in most cases are declining.
In The Return of the Serpents of Wisdom, Mark Pinkham gives a slightly different take on the Sophia and Yaldabaoth story. P 241 He says that Sophia, the Serpent Goddess, created the universe and then became its benevolent patroness. However, soon after the completion of the cosmos, the ‘dark dragon’ Jaldabaoth, usurped the reins of government for himself and set himself over the universe as its evil dictator. He writes;
“Jaldabaoth, who was a personification of that aspect of Jehovah which was an exacting and stringent lawgiver, eventually bequeathed a group of limiting karmic rules by which the people on Earth were forced to live. Ever since implementing his decrees, the human spirit has been perpetually chained to the physical world and the illusion of reality it engenders.” He goes on to say that the path of Gnosticism as set forth by the Serpent on the Tree and other gnostic liberators, “was formulated so that the inner Spirit could awaken from this illusion, extricate itself from physical form and return to its rightful home in the heavens.” To all the Gnostics, the serpent was a hero, not a villain. Mark says that by persuading Eve to partake of the fruit of knowledge, the serpent led mankind to the path of spiritual autonomy. “This requires man to leave paradise where all his or her needs are met but at the cost of subservience and unconsciousness. ...The quest for understanding that the serpent of Eden symbolically represents is attained by leaving the ‘blessed ignorance’ of unconsciousness for the hard won fruit of increased awareness.”
Mark tells of a decade’s long spiritual quest that led him to discover a subtle thread which linked most religious traditions. That thread was the symbol of the serpent. According to Mark, Serpents were; “fully conscious Spirit inhabiting a physical form.” They had the power to materialize any physical object at will. They called their spiritualized bodies Dragon Bodies, which Mark describes as being “an etheric sheath which surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body.” He says that in these bodies, one remains in continual communication with the realms that surround and inter-penetrate the physical plane. One can also travel in these bodies throughout the universe. In the Bible, when Paul relates the story of the man, believed by many to be Paul himself, who traveled to the ‘third heaven’ and when St. John the Beloved saw his visions of the Revelation, they were seeing into the spiritual world through their Dragon Bodies. I have said that when I receive revelations I feel like I am surrounded by an energy that blocks out the world outside it and heightens the energy inside it. I am sure this is the Dragon Body. The supra-natural senses of clairvoyance, clairaudience, telepathy, omniscience and omnipresence are functions of the Dragon Body.
The Serpents of Wisdom are not just an earthly group. Mark says that the Cherokee have records that claim that their ancestors came from the star system the Pleiades. They were Interstellar or Celestial Serpents, the titles they prefer over the designation aliens from outer space! Jeshua tells us there are no aliens - they are other life-forms, some very different from ours, that were created by God. They are, like us, expressions of God.
In his book, The Return of the Serpents of Wisdom p 24, Mark writes; “According to the records of the Cherokees or Tslagis, these androgynous Serpents are known as the Sacred Seven, and said to have once traveled from the universal seat of the Divine Mind, the Pleiades, in order to instill within developing humankind the spark of individuated mind.” In order for humans to understand concepts taught by the Serpents of Wisdom, it has been necessary to foster growth of human intelligence throughout long spans of time. Mark wrote; “Once the Pleiadian missionaries were on Earth, they mated with the human population and their progeny spread throughout Atlantis. According to Mark, the Pleiadian-Atlantean union spoken of by the Cherokees was mentioned by the ancient Greek historians Apollodorius and Diodorus. He says that the Greeks and Mayans also refer to an ancient visitation by the Pleiadeans. The Mayans recorded in the ancient text the Popul Vuh that a fight broke out between the Pleiadeans and Mayans and so four hundred Pleiadeans “regretfully returned to their homeland within the Seven Sisters” ...which is another name for the Pleiades.
According to Mark, some interstellar Serpents came from Sirius who were the “galactic guardians of the secrets of uniting the polarity.” The uniting of the polarity is the merging of the soul and spirit, or Sacred Marriage, a.k.a achieving Christ Consciousness or enlightenment. In this process, one has to reconcile the opposites or duality within. There are beings from other planets who are more advanced in the process than humans are, who act as missionaries to other planets. These beings are humanoid as we are. In the next chapter, I will show two examples of these. According to Mark, one of the symbols of the Sirians was a triangle with an all-seeing eye in the center. If this seems familiar, I suggest you look at a dollar bill, since the United States of America was established with the assistance of the Sirian humanoids! According to the Dogon people of Africa, they are described as serpent featured, which you will see is true. Mark goes on to say;
P 25 A Hebrew reference to the Sirian’s is believed to be contained in the Book of Enoch which refers to a group of fallen angels headed by Azazel (a.k.a. Lucifer) who came to Earth during an early period of Earth’s development and imparted the wisdom of alchemy to the ‘daughters of men’. This Hebrew legend refers to the alien visitors as the Nephilim and as the “People of the Shem,” the “People of the rocket ships.”

...Below the Angelic Serpents are the Orders of Extraterrestrial Serpents of Wisdom. These orders are composed of Serpents of Wisdom who inhabit planets, star systems and galaxies other than our own. As Intergalactic, Interstellar and Interplanetary Serpents they move freely between various planets and star groups via their immortal Dragon Bodies and/or sophisticated spacecraft. Sometimes they travel to new or evolving galaxies and solar systems in order to assist certain fledgling life forms through evolutionary stages of growth and development. For millions of years Extraterrestrial Serpents of Wisdom have been coming to our Solar System to assist in its evolution.

He goes on to say that many extra-terrestrial Serpents of Wisdom chose to come to Earth to assist the development of the human race at the beginning of the present cycle of 104,000 years. This major cycle is considered particularly important, as it is destined to culminate in a unique opportunity for prodigious evolutionary advancement for both the Earth and its people. The wisdom brought to Earth at the beginning of the cycle was calculated to assist developing humankind throughout the cycle’s entire duration, but especially during the major paradigm shift at its conclusion. I am not quite sure how that paradigm shift plays out, but I believe what it means is this; at some point there will be a quantum instant. There will be several different things that will happen at that time. Some people will find themselves in a totally new environment. These environments will range from very bad to very good. Some people will still think they are still on the same Earth, but will notice that many people are gone. This new Earth will be much like this one, except the bad parts of Earth life will be worse. Some people will go to the new Earth called Terra. They will be the progenitors of the new human called the Universal Human. The people who will be the progenitors of the Universal Human will have to be physically taken from the Earth, as they will make the new bodies from their current ones.

Ancient Mesopotamian texts tell of visitations of wise Serpents called the Anunnaki, who are mentioned by that name in the book of Genesis. They are the fallen angels of the Bible. They are also known as Anakim, the repulsive dragon-faced Annedoti, Nephilim, and Watchers. You will see why they were given the name dragon-faced too! Pinkham cites Robert Temple’s book The Sirius Mystery for information on the Sirians. And just so you know, Temple says that the name of one of the celestial orders of Serpents of Wisdom is the Cherubim! Edgar Cayce said that the Sons of the Law of One were early members of the Great White Brotherhood of Lemuria and were descendants of Pleiadian and Sirian missionaries. Also, you know the Seraphim angels of the Bible? The meaning of the word Seraphim is fiery dragons!

It may be time to reconsider our view of angels. Rosie Cepero, a psychic medium who has a show on television, says that angels look just like humans. In fact, I have read that humans are the tenth and lowest rung in the angelic hierarchy.
I have mentioned that the Bible is written in code. The Serpents of Wisdom used codes and strict vows of silence so that their secrets would be kept safe from the profane. Among the codes they used were words with secret meanings. In the forward to the book The Great Angel: a Study of Israel’s Second God by Margaret Barker, the writer states that as a consequence of Barker’s study of the books attributed to the Biblical Enoch, Barker concludes that the rebellious angels were a group of “exalted human beings, spiritual adepts who played an important role in remote prehistory.” Barker writes of a code system where initiates and spiritually advanced persons are classified as men in white, true humans, men of angelic stature, kings, angels and gods. Human beings were called animals, and angels were called men! Barker points out how important this is to know when trying to understand early Christian writings. In Enoch’s writings, the angel figures are described as men or men in white. According to Barker, Noah, Moses and Elijah began life as mortals but achieved the status of angels. This would mean that they united with their higher angelic self or were Christed. Other signs of angelic stature would be to put on white garments or to be anointed with oil which means to become a Messiah. The word Messiah is derived from the Egyptian word Messeh which was the fat or oil of a crocodile that our ancestors were anointed with after becoming enlightened during their initiations in Egypt.
In the Jeshua channelings, Jeshua says that the inter-marriage between our soul family and the Earth soul’s family was decided upon in the spiritual realm. Both sides agreed to it as a way to further human progress. What I have learned is that when we were in Atlantis, we cross-bred humans with the planets highest ape, creating what Edgar Cayce called ‘things’. The RH blood factor in humans actually refers to Rhesus monkey dna within us. It’s the reason that women who are RH positive are literally allergic to their babies. Some of our family had no problem with that. The other side wanted to make amends and advance the humans they had interfered with. I believe part of the penance or bad karma we have had to pay is that we are made to occupy these less than perfect bodies we helped to corrupt. I, for one, have suffered greatly by being in one. Believe it or not, those two sides of our family are still fighting each other to this day. The evil, or at least greedy, selfish and self-centered side, are the global elite. They are all about using humankind to further their own agenda, which is a one world government run by them. They are the New World Order people. The good side of our family are also New World Order people, however, our concept of that world is the Kingdom of Heaven brought down to Earth.
The Mysteries taught that spiritual illumination was attained only by bringing the lower nature up to a certain standard of efficiency and purity. The Mysteries were therefore established for the purpose of unfolding the nature of man according to certain fixed rules which, when faithfully followed, elevated the human consciousness to a point where it was capable of cognizing its own constitution and the true purpose of existence. This knowledge of how man’s manifold constitution could be most quickly and most completely regenerated to the point of spiritual illumination constituted the secret, or esoteric, doctrine of antiquity. ‘The Secret Doctrine’ by H.P. Our family has transmitted this doctrine through the ages, without pause, for thousands of years. Other names for the Masters of Wisdom are; The Serpents of Wisdom - The Nagas of India - The Lung Dragons of China - The Amarus of Peru - The Quetzalcoatl’s and Kukulcans of Mesoamerica - The Serpent Clans and Tribes of North America - The Mesopotamian Anunnaki - The Djedhi of Egypt - The Greek and Aegean Children of the Serpent Goddess - The Levites of Palestine - The Possessors of Fire - The Naasseni and Ophite Gnostics - The Druid Adders of Britain - The Arcadians of Greece - The Thoth Hermes Masters - The Therapeutae of Egypt - The Magi of Persia- The Followers of Horus.
