In the same month, Austria launches
a new initiative to promote usage of electronic
services among students.
studi.gv.at
is a nation-wide joint initiative, and the broad
spectrum of relevant services ranges from carrying out an application for a scholarship,
or health insurance to reimbursing taxes for a student’s secondary job.
In
July 2008,
an ‘
eGovernment reference towns
’ project unveiled by the Austrian
Government intends to boost the use of electronic administration at the municipal level.
The three-year project run by the Austrian Federal Chancellor’s office, the Association of
Austrian towns (
Städtebund
) and the Austrian 'Digital Platform', takes a ‘good practice’
approach to promoting local eGovernment. One aim of the project is to further boost
administrative use of Austria’s main
eGovernment portal
.
