Conclusion 

The period of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict proves once again that at a time when the Internet and the 

media are important for freedom of expression and access to information, freedom of expression as a 

fundamental human right is in a danger due to users of fake news and propaganda. At the same time, the 

proliferation of fake news leads to an "unfair information war." 

Although the fight against fake news is often discussed, states have not yet been able to come up with a 

unified solution. One of the best ways for the state to fight against fake news is to use its own resources to 

respond to all anti-government views based on facts and to substantiate them to the public. For example, 

interviews on international or other wide news portals, and fact-based information shared on official 

government accounts can be a good method. We urge everyone to refrain from believing and disseminating 

opinions that are not based on unofficial, reliable sources so that fake news does not disturb the public order.
