Reproductive Age Group - Uterine Masses
Uterine leiomyomas - most common benign uterine tumors.
Usually diagnosed on physical examination.
Incidence: 20% (reproductive age)
40% to 50% of women older than 35 years of age.
Uterine leiomyomas, also known as myomas or broids, are by far the
most common benign uterine tumors.
Other benign uterine growths, such as uterine vascular tumors, are
rare. Uterine leiomyomas are usually diagnosed on physical
examination.
