XANADU – March 12, 2010 Tour - Palace Theatre, Cleveland   A-/B+ (VOB) 1,93Gb.

Anika Larsen, Max von Essen, Natasha Yvette Williams, Annie Golden, Larry Marshall

A good capture of the tour with Anika Larsen as Clio. Shaky at times but folllows the action pretty well. Missing about 10 minutes due to some problems with a tape I using (kept saying read error). To be honest with you, I didn't like the show at all. It was too "culty" and just didn't really appeal to me. Plus the music is almost ear bleeding. Why is was ever nominated for a Tony, I will NEVER know. However, the cast did great, and I support them 110%, given the weak material they had to work with.  A-/B+

Notes : Filmed in 16:9 widescreen. Audio from external MD recorder which is very clear, except for the last 2 minutes or so of the video, which uses the video camera's built-in mic. (The transition should be fairly smooth and only detectable on headphones.) Almost no obstructions and very few blackouts (only in between scenes). Mix of close zooms and some wide shots to see the entire ensemble.
