Quaternäre Ammoniumbasen
Die antibakterielle Wirkung dieser Substanzen wurde erst-
mals durch Domagk

beschrieben. Mehrere Mundwässer mit
quaternären Ammoniumbasen (QAC) wie Cetylpyridinium-
chlorid sind im Handel erhältlich

. Die Basen sind an
negativ geladene Oberflächen in der Mundhöhle gebun-
den, aber nicht so stark wie CHX, und der Effekt ist auch
deutlich kleiner
