Dear Mike Ksar, Convenor, JTC 1/SC 2/WG 2, and

Peter Constable, WG 2 Liaison to Unicode Consortium,

I, Masahiro Sekiguchi, Chair of Japan National Body to SC 2, hereby confirm that following is a part of the intended uses of the ideograph fonts that Japanese National Body supplied:

• 
  WG 2 editor to use the fonts to produce code charts to be included in the ISO/IEC standard and related working documents including drafts, and
  
• 
  Unicode Consortium to use the code charts for publication of its Unicode Standard and related documents.
  

I hope this clarify the situation and promote the development of synchronized standards.
