"Bayan Satıcı 1: Merhaba hoşgeldiniz.

Oğlan: Merhaba, hoşbulduk. Benim bir pantalonum vardı tadilatta. Onu almaya gelmiştim.

Bayan Satıcı 1: Tamam.

Oğlan: Bunun ödemesini ne zaman yapabilirim.

Bayan Satıcı 1: Ödemesini şimdi yapabiliriz.

Oğlan: O zaman ödemesini şimdi yapayım. Bir de benim şöyle bir ürün almıştım. Bu ürünü daha henüz hiç kullanmadan almaktan vazgeçtim bunu da mümkünse şayet iadesini.

Bayan Satıcı 1: Bunu benim bir ürün müdürüme sormam gerekiyor… Ayden Hanım…ürün almışlar değiştirmek isteniyor.

Ayden Hanım: Hıhı tamam. Model değişikliği mi beden değişikliği mi?

Bayan Satıcı 1: Yerine pantalon alıyoruz değil mi?

Oğlan: Evet yerine pantalon alıyorum.

Oğlan: Evde cok t-shirt olduğuna karar verdiğim için dedim farklı bir şey olsun. Pantalona karar verdim onun için. Zaten genelde giydiğim şeyler de spor olduğu için azıcık daha, yavaş yavaş ağır takılmak istedim.

Bayan Satıcı 1: Pantalonun kalıbı da çok güzel ama.

Oğlan: Evet oldukça hoşuma gitti. Ben pek pantalon sevmem genelde, yazlık pantalonlar neyse de, bu oldukça hoşuma gitti. Son kalmış bir de.

Bayan Satıcı 1: Biraz bekletiyoruz sizi ama.

Oğlan: Önemli değil Türkiye’de...

Oğlan: 26 milyon…sizde kredi kartı geçiyor değil mi?

Bayan Satıcı 1: Advantage kartınız varsa 3 taksit yapabiliriz.

"Saleswoman: Hello, welcome.

Boy: Hello. I have had a pair of pants in your shop to be tailored; I have come to pick that up.

Saleswoman: Okay.

Boy: When should I pay for this?

Saleswoman: You can pay for it right away.

Boy: Let me do that then. Also, I have bought an item from this store. I haven�t used it yet but I want to return it, if possible.

Saleswoman: I have to my sales manager about this. Ms Ayden..they have bought an item and now they want to return it.

Ms. Ayden: Alright, do you want to change the size or the item?

Boy: I want to change the item.

Saleswoman: You want to get a pair of pants for that, right?

Boy: Yes, I would like to exchange it for a pair of pants.

Second Saleswoman: I have to determine the serial number for this item, I am afraid you are going to have to wait for a couple of minutes.

Boy: Sure, I can wait no problem.

Saleswoman: Would you like to have a candy?

Boy: Oh, yes, please, thanks a lot.

About Language by Country: The Language by Country videos and other materials were produced by the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages between 1999 - 2003 with funding from the National Security Education Program (NSEP) and the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) of the U.S. Department of Education. The videos were filmed by Five College international students in their home countries. The goal was to provide examples of authentic language spoken in its natural cultural environment so that students of all ages can better understand the interplay between a language and its culture. We have tried to remain true to the language our subjects actually uttered. Therefore, we have not corrected grammatical errors and the videos sometimes show highly colloquial language, local slang, and regionally specific speech patterns. At times, we have noted the preferred or more standard forms in parentheses. Most of the transcripts and translations were prepared by the same students who filmed the video, although in some cases the transcripts have also been edited by a language expert.
