Rules:
Adjectives are used to describe or modify nouns or pronouns. They provide
additional information about the quality, size, color, shape, etc. of the noun or
pronoun.
Adjectives can be placed before or after the noun they describe. For example, "the
red ball" and "the ball is red" both convey the same meaning.
When using multiple adjectives to describe a noun, they should be used in a
specific order: opinion, size, age, shape, color, origin, material, and purpose. For
example, "a beautiful, small, old, round, blue, French, wooden, dining table."
Adjectives can also be graded to indicate degrees of comparison. The three
degrees of comparison are positive, comparative, and superlative. For example,
"big, bigger, biggest" or "happy, happier, happiest."
It's important to use appropriate adjectives and avoid overusing them, as it can
make writing sound repetitive or forced. Descriptions should be clear and concise,
using only the necessary adjectives to convey the intended meaning.
