Modern characteristics of the development of cosmetics industry

Conclusion: A year-on-year decline in export sales in the first half of 2019 and weak growth in some parts of the world will be a clear sign of K-beauty's battle for survival. Avoiding cut-throat, time-consuming competition, K-beauty is expected to revolutionize the industry once again this year by bringing new innovations to the market.
This study has the following implications. First, the Korean cosmetics market, which is dynamically changing due to recent growth, is examined in terms of distribution structure. In particular, the emergence and growth of medium-sized cosmetic companies, which occupy leading positions in the cosmetics market, are analyzed taking into account changes in the structure of distribution. In addition, this study also investigated the increasing number of tourists visiting Korea for cosmetic surgery, and the impact of the cosmetic industry on the Korean economy.
Individually, Korean brands may not yet hold the same weight as popular Western brands, but the influence of Korean innovation and technology, as well as the ever-changing concept of beauty, will certainly always be relevant. And serves as a criterion for beauty and cosmetic standards worldwide.
