FTP Study Guide – FileZilla

This is a study guide for using the FTP site using FileZilla. FileZilla is a free and safe FTP software. It’s a more easier and efficient way to access the FTP site.

Step 1: To download FileZilla, first open your browser and go to www.filezilla-project.org as shown in the picture. You will need to download the FileZilla client shown above.

Step 2: From here, you will press download now as shown above. Once you do that, follow the instructions to download FileZilla.

Step 3: Once you get FileZilla downloaded, go to FileZilla. Your screen should like this. At the top, put in the credentials shown above. For host you type ftp.amberton.edu. Then put your username and password in. Keep the port option blank then press quick connect.

Step 4: After you login, you are now connected to the FTP site. The left side shown in blue is your files in your computer and the right side shown in red is the ftp server. Your screen should look like this.

Step 5: When you get to the file you want to download, grab the file and drag and drop it into your desired folder you want to transfer it to.

If you ever need to go back at any time, just press the folder to go back. The folder is where the arrow is pointing at shown above.
