naval systems, automatedweapons
systems, militaryradios, autonomous
groundsystems, avionics systems for

During our interviews with Kurdish political prisoners and their lawyers, we were told that
Aselsan produces CCTV systems used in the Turkish prison system. Aselsan also markets
security systems for borders and oil pipelines.

established by the Turkish Ministry ofIndustry and Technology in 1973 to reduce the Turkish
